Dedicated Public Servant

Brooke has dedicated her entire career to public service. She worked as a lawyer representing District residents at the DC Attorney General’s office. Prior to that time, she worked on Capitol Hill for Senator Blumenthal (D-CT) and worked for a federal judge in DC.

Brooke has worked on policies, contracts, and legislation for the city that increase civil rights protections, strengthen penalties for anti-trust violations, protect children from being treated as adults in the criminal justice system, and defend small businesses from being defrauded.

Brooke plans to use her voice and vote on the Council to take community concerns across the finish line in achieving legislative results – just as she has done throughout her career.

Endorsed by DC Attorney General Karl Racine

“Brooke worked in the Office of the Attorney General first in the Commercial Division working in the Tax and Finance Section and then in the Policy and Legislative Affairs Section. In her latter role, Brooke regularly worked with the Attorney General, senior OAG staff, and the Council and its staff to advance legislation on a number of issues important to Ward 2 voters, including, campaign finance reform, civil rights, wage theft protection for workers and our small business community

Brooke has an impressive work ethic and a rare sticktoitiveness that resulted in Brooke becoming a go to advisor in my office on whom I often relied. Brooke thoroughly understands the importance of listening to the views of all interests that could be impacted by contemplated legislation.

She is a persuasive person who leads by consensus. Additionally, Brooke’s character is beyond reproach, which will be a breath of fresh air for Ward 2.”

Karl Racine, Attorney General for the District of Columbia
